A Project I Have Waited to Share!!!

This is the first chipboard mini album I have ever done.  It was a gift for my soon to be daughter in law and my son and I had to wait to give it to them before I could share it here.  And I actually have not seen them for a while so it waited.......

The paper used on the album is from Basic Grey Skateboard collection.  Everything else are just random embellishments and cardstock that I have had in my stash and needed to use.  Enjoy!

It was a fun project to do and a great way to showcase a few pictures.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  I am off to work shortly.

I'm Excited for Tonight!

Tonight I get to "hostess" my first Crop Night at the place where I work.  Anyone who papercrafts probably received a notice about it.  While at the moment we do not have a full house I am still looking forward to seeing all the fun projects these ladies will come up with and guiding them in the right direction if they ask my opinion.  I think it is incredibly cool to want to go to work.  Haven't felt like that at any of my other jobs!

Look What I Found

Okay, for those of you who know me well you know my passion is scrapbooking and cardmaking.  I spend a lot of my free time doing these activities.  And most of you know that I work at a local craft store.  So, yesterday we were changing the planogram and unloading stock.  I proceeded to open a box and I think I actually squealed with delight as I saw the items pictured below.  And they were in the $1.50 bins (that's the $1.00 bins to my US friends....sorry Dad!)  So at the end of my shift I just had to purchase them before they were gone. :)  Oh, and did I mention my favourite colour is pink.  Without further ado or explanation, here is what I found:

How perfect are they!  And I did not even buy all of them.  A few of the items I could not think of a use for so I left them at the store.

Happy Thursday!

Forever Young Purse/Notecard Set

I was in the mood to create something yesterday but not in the mood to think.  I found this link and since this was my newest cartridge purchased I decided I would give it a try.  I used scraps of paper that I had, ribbon from Michaels and a stamp from My Pink Stamper stamps.  Totally cased so Robyn, My Pink Stamper gets all the credit for my project.  I think it turned out cute and you never know who might be receiving it.  Maybe even someone who checks in here.  :)

Have a great Friday.  Happy crafting!

The Results of Last Friday

I was off of work last Friday and I spent the day scrapbooking.  I have not spent a whole day doing this for a long time but had this one planned into my schedule and so I hardly left my little "castle" and worked away.  The following seven single page spreads are the result.  Enjoy!!! And I totally scrap random pictures and out of order so these photos were from many events of last year.

12 of 12

A friend of mine introduced me to the 12 of 12 concept.  You take 12 pictures of everyday life on the 12th of each month every month.  And you use those pictures to document your life, month by month.  I decided that 2010 was my year to start.....and then promptly forgot to take any pictures in January as I spent that day in bed with a migraine.  Come February I figured I would start again.  I took the pictures, printed them, did most of the layout and there they sat.  Part of my promise to myself was that if I was going to do this and keep the commitment the layout needed to be done by the next month so that I would not get too far behind.  Yesterday evening I finished this layout....nothng like being under the wire....I am not really sure I even like it but it was finished before the 12th of March and I was up and taking pictures already this morning.  Hopefully it won't take me until the 11th of April to finish the next one.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you all have a great day.
