Criss Cross - a Fun Fold Card (including video tutorial)!

Good evening, my friends.  Well, I have spent a frustrating afternoon trying to convert, edit and upload my first video.  I was unable to do it the way I wanted but I was able to post the unedited version of the video and so it is included here with instructions on how to make this card.  But it has no titles or transitions included so I will have to work on that.

This card is entered into the Fun Fold Card Challenge on my friend Janis' blog Pause Dream Enjoy

and here are the instructions on how to make it:

Thank you for visiting me today.  I am so thankful that you continue to come back and see what I have for you.  I wish you all a blessed evening!

Spring Time

Good evening, my bloggy friends.  I hope everyone had a great day.  As promised, I am back to share my second card of the day that I made for two more challenges.  Even though the weather is still cold even with the chance still of wet snow, the calendar says Spring and so I made the following card to welcome Spring. :)

It is for the challenges at Cricut Cardz Challenge #67 to make a Spring card using the colours pink, green and white ONLY and your choice of cartridge and the challenge #2 at Scrapbookaholic by Abby which is to create anything Spring.  This is my card:

The tulip is from the Forever Young cartridge.  The stamp is from Micheals $1.50 bin.  The butterfly punch is Martha Stewart.  All the card stock, patterned paper, ribbon and stickles are from my stash.

Thanks for dropping by a second time today.  I think this may be the first time I have posted twice in one day but am not 100% sure of that.  Have a great night and happy crafting.

"HEY DUDE"

Good morning, everyone.  I hope y'all are having a great week so far.  I was able to get into the Pink Castle for a bit yesterday and created a couple of cards for challenges.  I have not entered a challenge for so long that it feels good.

This morning's card is for the challenge at More Than Favors:Wacky Wednesday.  The challenge was to make a manly card.  I needed to make a birthday card for my son so this was the perfect challenge.

And here it is:

I used "guy" colours of black and grey and added a pop of colour with my son's fave of lime green.  Stamp and outside sentiment are from The Greeting Farm coloured with copics.  All other supplies are from my stash, as per usual, at the moment.

Thanks for stopping by today.  My second posting of the day should be up this evening as both challenges that I did end today.

Have a WONDERFUL Tuesday.

Paper Playtime Digi Monday

Good morning, my friends.  Seems these Mondays roll around faster and faster the older I get :)  I worked all weekend so not much "me" time but hopefully will make up for that today after chores.  We will see.

Today is Digi Monday at Paper Playtime with our challenge for the next two weeks being anything goes.  We have been averaging way over 300 entries on our digi week and I just want to say a big thank you to all who have been making our challenges a huge success.  We appreciate every one of you, winners or not.  And you are all winners as you have created another project and being creative is what it is all about.

My card for today is using the digi provided for us by Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I just loved the look of this little duck and knew I had to use her for this month  :)

This is the first time I have used my new obsession, Copic Markers, on a card for Digi Monday.  I only have a very limited number of colours but they were great colours to use for this digi.  The stamp is from the $1.50 ($1.00 bin to my US viewers) from Michaels.  Card stock is Recollections and the printed paper is from Basic Grey.  All other supplies were from my vast stash.

Thanks for dropping in.  I appreciate everyone who visits me and faithfully leaves comments.  Remember to join us at Paper Playtime for the next two weeks and show us what you can create with a digi.  If I have time, I am hoping to use a couple more digis from our sponsors and show y'all what I have done with them as well.

"Moo-valous" Birthday and Some News

Hey there, my wonderful friends!  Remember what I wrote on Monday about posting being easy this week...well, as they say "The best laid plans...." but I do have my second post of the week here now.  I hope you enjoy it!

A couple of fun things to share before I reveal today's card.  First, my friends Erika and Stephanie have created a new blog for challenges.  Please come visit them at Whimsical Wednesday and join them in this new venture.  There is blog candy to be won and who doesn't like candy and a challenge  :)

Second,  I am going to be in a blog hop April 15th & 16th hosted by the incredibly talented Theresa the Scrapbooking Queen.  More details on that to follow but keep the dates handy.  You won't want to miss it!

Onto the card for today.    Again this card is, you guessed it, pink.  But it was made for my BFF who loves pink and collects cows so what other colour could I possibly use.  I am working today on a couple of other projects to be posted soon and not a piece of pink paper in sight, I promise.

All card stock is Recollections.  Cow is from Create A Critter cartridge along with the cloud.  Sentiment is computer generated.  Everything else is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend.  I will see y'all soon.

Pretty in Pink

Good Monday morning, my friends.  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and spent time doing whatever you love the most.  I had an extremely busy one visiting friends and working.  Not much time at all spent in my pink castle.  I hope to make up for it today after chores are done :)

Last week I made a few cards but could not share them as they were all surprises for people who I know check my blog.  So this week I am sharing all the cards I made last week.  Should make it easy to post but we will see.

First off is a card I made for a co-worker who was leaving us.  We will miss her greatly and I am sending her big hugs here that I hope she sees ;)

The butterfly is cut from the Sentimentals cartridge at 2 1/2" and the scalloped circle, circle and tags are from Accent Essentials.  I won Accent Essentials as blog candy and it has become one of my "go to" cartridges for sure.  I used the Swiss Dots and D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folders to give the card some dimension.  All card stock is Recollections.  Everything else is from my stash of course.  Still trying to use lots up before I purchase more.  It is a never ending battle because so much fun stuff either comes out or goes on sale and I am still doing my best to walk away from it all.  And, again, it is in pink.  I think I need someone to challenge me to make a card using absolutely NO pink.  Do ya think I could do it???? LOL!!

Well, that's it for now.  I am off to do some neglected chores that never got done last week as I worked a lot and then make some time to play in my pink castle.  Have a wonderful Monday, everyone.  Hope to see you again real soon.

Many "Thanks"

Good morning, my friends.

A few weeks ago we had a bridal shower for my soon to be daughter-in-law.  It was a really fun time.  She had to answer questions about my son in order to open a gift.  If she couldn't get the answer, it was deferred to the guests to answer.  I found out that I don't really know my son as well as I thought I did :) But his aunt and his younger soon-to-be sister-in-law sure do.  The bride and groom received some wonderful gifts and are well on their way to outfitting their home.  Just a couple of pics of the bride to be opening presents....

And for these many presents I promised her I would make thank you cards so for the last couple of evenings I have made 20 (10 of each colour) of these "Thank You"s.  They are simple and I am so glad I found this stamp to use on them because it made them super easy to do.  The circle is from Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge cut at 3 1/4".  I bought card bases by Recollections, grabbed a few papers, some ribbon, flowers and pearls from my stash and voila!  Cards ready to be hand written and mailed.  Mother-in-law and bride to be are both happy.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am trying to post at least twice a week but sometimes life just gets in the way.  I appreciate every one of you and hope I can inspire you to be creative.

Paper Playtime Challenge #41

Good morning, my friends.  Monday again (sigh!) but it is the Monday that we have a new challenge over at Paper Playtime.  There are three themes for the next two weeks: 1) make anything pink and glittery, 2) make anything using a critter and a rhyme and 3) make anything using purple and green for Mardi Gras.  And I decided to surprise everyone and NOT make something pink and glittery.  I used challenge two, a critter and a rhyme.

A close up of the rhyme:

I searched animal rhymes and then put a few of them together to come up with the poem on the card.  The card measures 5" x 5".  The snail is from the Paisley cartridge and is cut at 2 1/2".  The tag is a Creative Memories punch and the sentiment "Hello" is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Occasions stamp set.  Card stock is Recollections and all other supplies are from my stash.  Lots of doodling and some stickles add more dimension.

Thanks for coming by today.  Please join us for our challenges at Paper Playtime.  You have until March 26th to show us what you can do!

Until next time,

Anyone Guess My Favourite Colour?!?

Good afternoon, blog land.  It has been gloomy, rainy and snowy here for a few days now and I felt like my mood was matching it so into my "pink castle" (which is no longer pink since we moved but still has that nickname) I went for some crafting therapy.  I created two cards and a special project which I will be sharing some time next week.  I really like the way this project turned out and hope you will be back to see it....hint!hint!

On to the project I am sharing at the moment though.  I made a card using one of the images that I had coloured at my bff's house a couple of weekends ago.  And the whole card is based on my fave colour.  Anyone guess what it is???  Well, let's take a look at the card and see:

I am sure it was not hard to guess, especially for those who know me or anyone who has been following my blog for a while as it is my "go to" colour and the one I gravitate to the most.  I did have to add a bit of green and white but PINK rules.  Hee!!hee!!!  Stamped image is from The Greeting Farm coloured with Copic markers and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Occasions stamp set.  All other supplies are from my immense stash.

Thanks for dropping by today.  I am sorry it has been a while since anything has been posted.  Life gets busy but I need to make time to craft as it calms my soul and just makes me happy in general.

Take care, everyone.  Hope to see you back really soon.

Spring Flowers

Good morning!  How is the weather where you are?  Spring is supposed to be just around the corner but yesterday it felt like one of the coldest days of the winter.  I think it was the wind but it was chilly both outside and inside.  Good job I like layers.  But in honour of Spring being on its way I created a flower pot full of pretty pink flowers.  This is by no means an original card and has been around for a while but it is the first time that I have tried it.  I used prima flowers for this one but could see making them with flowers cut out on the Cricut as well.  The sentiment is cut from Just Because Cards and Don Juan Cricut cartridges.

Who wouldn't like to receive a cute pot of flowers?  I think I need to make a few of these for my stash and for sale as well.

Again, thanks so much for stopping by.  I am glad I can share my creations with you and inspire you to create.  I would love to see your spring projects so please feel free to leave links to your blog or facebook pages so that I can come visit you.

Until next time,

My First.....and I'm in LOVE!!!!!

Good Morning blog world!  Today is Tuesday which means I made it through Monday. Days like Monday and Friday mean nothing to you really when you work part time retail because the store seems like it is always open, and I guess, in a way it is, because there are some hours of operation every single day.  But there are huge changes coming down at the store where I work and I found out about them Sunday and this made Monday a much harder day than usual and I made it through (partly due to the fact that when I got off of work Monday I ended up taking a 4 hour nap and didn't have to think!)  Okay, so enough about that....on to crafting.....

Friday and Saturday I spent with my BFF who I have not seen in forever.  We used to spend at least one weekend a month together but then I got the above mentioned retail job and finding time has been hard.  She told me she had found something new that she had been playing with and taking classes with....copic markers.  I, of course, had heard of them and had seen the wonderful stamps that people colour with them.  So I tried hers and let's just say I hope I can visit her more often in the next few months or win the lottery as I am HOOKED.  So relaxing to sit and colour and blend.  I coloured several images and they will  be showing up in some cards and projects in the next little bit on my blog but here is the first....

I know the stamp is from The Greeting Farm, copic markers are from my BFF and all the other supplies are from my stash.  I am in LOVE.  Copic marker addiction here I come  :)  My non-existent craft budget can't suffer if it's not there, right?

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope things are great with all of you.  Take care, my friends.  And I will see you back here again real soon.
