Another New Venture....or....Something I Have Always Wanted to Try

Happy Saturday.  Hope you are having a great one no matter what you are doing.  As I previously stated, I am going to show you a non-paper project today.  It is how I spent last evening and I even had to take the pictures then so they did turn out a little darker than I wanted but a retake this morning just wasn't gonna happen (mostly because we enjoyed some last night).  For the entire time that I have worked at the local craft store I have been trying to fit this class into my schedule and finally Friday night I was able to complete it.  It was the Wilton project class "Cupcakes and More".  I have been making cupcakes for a while now on special occasions and have taught myself how to do the swirls to ice them but wanted some other ideas.  Here are my 12 cupcakes from last night:

Now I did not have all of the colours of icing that our instructor used so I made due with what I had.  Here are a couple of my faves close up:

Okay, so these are by no means perfect and are going to take LOTS of practice to get right....hubby says I can practice anytime.....and since I made 24 and only decorated 12 last night I have 12 more to practice on today.  Anybody want to come join me for tea and a cupcake?

Thanks for stopping by  today.  Don't forget to join us tomorrow for the ".....Months to Christmas" Blog Hop where we will be showcasing our monthly Christmas cards.  Happy crafting 'til then.
