Little Red Wagon Challenge #291 ~ Red, White and Blue

Good morning, my crafting (and non-crafting who visit) friends.  It's challenge time again at Little Red Wagon and this week our hostess is Collette.  She wants us to use red, white and blue on our projects.  I am pretty sure this is in honour of the Memorial Day holiday in the United States Monday but it's a great colour combination no matter what.

I made a set of small note cards that would be cute to  put in a lunchbox or just to tuck in a pocket for someone to find to brighten their day.

RECIPE:
Copic Xpress It Card Stock
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Image and Sentiments ~ Your Next Stamp "Keep On Trucking"
Copic Markers
Card Stock ~ Recollections
Patterned Paper ~ Kaisercraft Blast Off
Your Next Stamp Fishtail/Banner Die Set (Retired)
Inks ~ Close to my Heart Cranberry, Moonstruck
~ Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress
Twine ~ Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
Buttons ~ From my stash

Copics Used:  B34, B37, B39, R24, R27, R29, R89, YR21, YR23, YR24

Thanks for stopping in.  Don't forget to visit Little Red Wagon to check out what the other girlfriends have made and link up your RED, WHITE AND BLUE project.

Have a great day!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #290 ~ To Die For

It is another Wednesday again.  They just seem to be coming faster and faster.  So, welcome to another new week and a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  This week our hostess is Susie and her challenge is "TO DIE FOR".  Now I know that doesn't sound good but I know she is wanting us to use a die cutting machine on our projects, either manual or electronic ~ she doesn't want us to literally die for crafting.  The English language is so very complicated with so many meanings of the same word and so very different.  Okay, grammar lesson aside, it is unusual for me not to die cut something on my cards but for some reason I was having a creative block and could not think of what I wanted to do.  I began surfing Pinterest and YouTube for ideas and finally decided to jump on the bandwagon of one of the hottest trends ~ shaker cards.  It was fun and I really like the outcome.

RECIPE:
Card Stock ~ Recollections
Patterned Paper ~ Doodlebug Springtime
Acetate ~ old packaging (I did this while
everything was closed but am going to get some better stuff soon
as there are a few scratches on this window.)
Spellbinders Nestabilities ~ Petite Scalloped Circles (LG)
Sentiment ~ Inkadinkadoo
Butterfly Punch ~ Martha Stewart
Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Microbeads ~ Martha Stewart
Sequins ~ Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
Twine ~ American Crafts
Bling ~ Kaisercraft Island Lagoon

Thanks for dropping in. I hope you join us this week and link up your project "TO DIE FOR" at Little Red Wagon. While you are there don't forget to check out what the other girlfriends have created and leave us some comment love as we all appreciate you visiting and letting us know you did.

So, until next time, keep crafting!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #289 ~ Make An Impression

Welcome back for another fun challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Last week life got in the way and I was unable to get my weekly Wednesday post done.  Did you miss it?  I sure did and am glad I am back on schedule.  This week our hostess is Carolyn and she wants us to "MAKE AN IMPRESSION" ~ use dry embossing on a project.  Not too hard, right?  Pull out those embossing folders or stencils and embossing tools that have been sitting there and put them to good use.

I chose to make something other than a card to show off my embossing.  This bookmark will be a quick gift when I just need to grab something small. And since I, and so many of my friends, love to read I am sure it will find a good home soon. The quote is from one of the all time favourite Dr. Seuss books too.

RECIPE:
Card Stock ~ Recollections
Patterned Paper ~ Echo Park Here and Now
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Cuttlebug Divine Swirls Embossing Folder
Creative Memories Circle Cutting System
Creative Memories Decorative Corner Punch
Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink
Floss ~ We R Memory Keepers
Flowers, Bling ~ Dollar Store
Charm ~ "Use It Up" Inventory

Glad you stopped by today.  Join us this week at Little Red Wagon and link up your projects using dry embossing.

Until next time, keep crafting.
