Little Red Wagon Challenge #313 ~ Ghost and Goblins (or Other Halloween Creatures)

Good Morning. So yep, another week has rolled around and it is time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess for this week's challenge is Jan and her challenge is GHOSTS AND GOBLINS OR OTHER HALLOWEEN CREATURES.  Well, I am just going to put it out there that I dislike Halloween immensely (Sorry Jan) and was totally stuck as to what to do for this challenge.  Always around this time of year I dread the design teams I am on because inevitably there will be some kind of Halloween challenge thrown in there somewhere.  But I sucked it up and tried to come up with something.

My stash didn't include a lot to work with either but I went with "traditional" Halloween colours of black and orange from my distress inks using the masking tape technique for the base of my card. The clear stamps  I believe I bought from the Michael's $1.50 bin at some point in my career there.  I embossed them in white and black to stand out. Throw in a bit of baker's twine and two big buttons and a card is created.

Thanks for dropping by.  Head on over to the Little Red Wagon blog and check out all the inspiration from the other girlfriends (whom I am sure came up with something better than I).  And if you are so inclined dip into your wagon (or stash) and show us your Halloween creatures.

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #312 ~ Home is Where the Heart Is

Hello there.  Well, it is that time again ~ the middle of the week and time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  I hope you enjoyed the tag challenge last week.  Our hostess this week is Joanne and her challenge is titled "HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS".  She wants to see you use a house on your card or project.

I am kinda on a budget freeze for crafting supplies at the moment so everything I have used lately is something I have either used before or had in my stash.  The house is a retired stamp from Your Next Stamp, and the patterned paper is from BoBunny Altitude.  The sentiment with matching die cut is from Marianne Designs. Some snowflake embellishments and some crystal snow add the finishing touches.

So now head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out what all of the other girlfriends have made and then link up a project featuring a house of your own.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp Sketch and Colour Challenge #25  ~ I used the sketch
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Wonderful Wednesday ~ Always Anything Goes

Have a great day!!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #311 ~ Tags!

Good morning.  It's my turn this week to hostess at Little Red Wagon and my challenge for you is "TAGS!" ~ I wish I could have thought of something clever to call it but since I didn't it is plain and simple.  I want to see tags by themselves or as part of a card ~ any kind will do.

I have long admired the gorgeous tags that have been done with distress inks as the background so decided to incorporate that technique into my tag.  I had fun getting inky and messy and that is so very unusual for me.  There are lots of great tutorials on Youtube and Pinterest if you are interested in trying your hand at this too.

I used many different colours of Tim Holtz mini distress inks to get this look.  All of the embellishments were found in my stash

So head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and show us your tags this week.

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #310 ~ It's All About the Boys!

Hello there.  Welcome to another new challenge today at Little Red Wagon..   Our hostess is Carolyn and she wants it to be ALL ABOUT THE BOYS!  When I was a teenager I think my Mom thought I wanted everything all about the boys ~ first crush, first date, first kiss....LOL!! But I digress.....all about the boys in this case means masculine cards.  And it couldn't come at a better time for me as I have two special male birthdays in my life this week ~ my wonderful father and my amazing husband.  My card today was made for my Mom to give to her hubby.

I used an image and sentiment from the set Wild and Crazy Guys by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.  Paper and enamel dots are Echo Park Jack and Jill boy collection.  The image is embossed with white to look like a chalk board.  Was a fun card to do.

So head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration by the other girlfriends and link up your masculine card.  They are always great to keep in your stash for just the moment when you need one.
