Little Red Wagon Challenge #317 ~ That's How We Roll

Morning.  Well that day of the week has rolled around on the calendar and it is time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess is Carolyn and her challenge is entitled "That's How We Roll" ~ it's all about transportation ~ trains, planes, automobiles, bicycles, boats, etc.  If it gets you somewhere it applies.

This card is dedicated to my friend Joanne ~ she will know why.  She loves bicycles so when I found this cute image from Krafting Kimmie Stamps called "Going Places" I knew it was the one I needed to use.  Black, pink, grey and white are the colours of choice on this card and the patterned paper from Echo Park Jack and Jill fit in perfectly.  A few embellishments and we are good to go (pun intended ~ LOL!)

So glad you came by to visit.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the great inspiration from all of the other girlfriends, leave us some love and then link up a transportation project of your own.

Until we meet again, keep crafting.  Enjoy your Wednesday!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #316 ~ Technique Card

Hey there.  It's Wednesday again (as I say every week) and time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon. Our hostess this week is Mandy and she has asked us to make a technique card. There are lots of ideas and videos on Pinterest and YouTube that feature some type of technique card.  When I started to browse I came across a version of the z fold card that I wanted to try.

The card starts with a 5 1/2" x 12" piece of cardstock scored at 2", 4" and 8".  The sky is patterned paper by Wild Rose Studio.  The reindeer and front sentiment are Your Next Stamp.  Inside sentiment is Hero Arts.  All again made from things I already owned.  I am doing well on that challenge I made for myself.

Glad you were able to drop by.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out what all of the other girlfriends have made for their technique cards and try one of your own.

PDE Linky Party ~ Always Anything Goes

Well hello there and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!  I haven't posted yet since there were some great changes at PDE Linky Party.  It's every Friday and it is always ANYTHING GOES ~ so that means if you made it, stamped it, die cut it, paper pieced it, scrapbooked it, refurbished it, remodeled it, crocheted it, knit it, quilted it, sewed it, painted it ~ you get my point ~ it all counts.  No theme to follow, just your creativity and imagination.

My project for today's ANYTHING GOES  is a masculine birthday card.  Masculine cards are hard for me as I can't use flowers or bling so when I saw this tool set of clear stamps at the dollar store I knew it would be a good investment.  The tools were coloured up with my Copics. I used the basket weave Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it  some texture and lots of ink for a distressed look.  The banner is made from a tiny punch and individual letters of a stamp set also from the dollar store.

Thanks for dropping by.  Come on over and link up your project this week at the PDE Linky Party.  You just may be chosen as a party pick.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #315 ~ Turkey Day

Hello and happy Wednesday.  Today is Remembrance Day in Canada and I just want to take this opportunity to thank our veterans of any kind for their service and for the fact that I am free.  I wear my poppy proudly today to honour you.

It is also a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and our hostess today is Donna.  She has called her challenge TURKEY DAY ~ she wants to see a turkey on your projects.  "Turkey day" for Canada is always the second Monday of October and I know my US friends are looking forward to their "turkey day" in a couple of weeks.  As I have mentioned before I am trying to use only things in my stash at the moment so I wasn't sure what I was going to use for this project.  When I started to check through my stamps I found this teddy bear scarecrow from High Hopes stamps that includes a turkey so I coloured it up with my Copics.  Card stock is Recollections, patterned paper was found in my scraps (and is now all gone) and embellishments were from my stash.

Check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends at Little Red Wagon and join us for our TURKEY DAY Challenge.

Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #314 ~ Mix It Up!!

Good evening.  Due to some technical difficulties yesterday and the fact that I had to go work today I am late posting this.  All good now and I am glad to be able to participate.  There is a new challenge at Little Red Wagon today and Brenda is our hostess.  She is calling her challenge MIX IT UP ~ she wants to see three patterned papers on your projects.

I have a Christmas card that uses three patterned papers.  It is a great way to use up tiny scraps.  The card stock is from Recollections; the patterned paper is from Echo Park Very Merry Christmas.  Cuttlebug embossing folder is D'vine Swirls.  Banner die cut is Your Next Stamp and the sentiment is Hero Arts embossed with white embossing powder.  Twine is from my stash for the handles.  The tissue paper and bling were both white and I coloured them with a Copic marker to match the paper.  I think this would be a wonderful card to make in assembly line process and use as "the" card to send out.  I am still experimenting to see which one I want to use.  I have a few others I am working on as well.

And here is a side shot to see the dimension of the shopping bags:

Head on over to Little Red Wagon and see all the incredible inspiration from the other girlfriends and join us with a project of your own featuring three different patterned papers.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for dropping by.  It seems like lately all the crafting I have time for is my Wednesday design post.  I would like that to change but we shall see as I fear that things will just get busier at this time of year.  Enjoy the rest of your day!!
