Little Red Wagon Challenge #374 ~ Hello 2017

Good morning and welcome to a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  I am the hostess this week and my challenge is entitled HELLO 2017 ~ I want to see your take on New Year's on your projects.

Mine is very traditional using an image and sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called "Let's Celebrate!" (On a side note for those of my DT girlfriends who wanted some of my stamps ~ Kraftin' Kimmie is having her Boxing Week sale and everything is on sale in the shop!!) Colours are also traditional classic and formal for New Year's.  All supplies were from my scraps.

Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out what the other girlfriends have made for my challenge and join us with a New Year's themed project of your own.  I will be back on Tuesday with my top picks.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!!!

Little Red Wagon challenge #373 ~ Follow That Star!

Hello once again.  Well it is only 4 days until Christmas.  Time has sure flown in the last couple months.  Today begins a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and our hostess is Sandy with the theme FOLLOW THAT STAR.

When I heard the theme for this week I couldn't help but think of the song with the same name Follow That Star by one of my favourite contemporary Christian artists Paul Baloche.  Here's a link to the song if you want to give it a listen:

My card is very simple and uses one of my new favourite sets by Kraftin' Kimmie called Christmas Blessings.  The star is a tiny addition to the card :) A stitched rectangle die cut, a few Copic markers and a bit of twine round out this cute card.

Why not join us with a star themed project of your own this week at Little Red Wagon?

Thanks for dropping by.  I am not sure if I will have another post or not before Sunday so I want to wish all of my followers and friends a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.  May you have a blessed time with ones you love near and far.

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #372 ~ Christmas Carols or Songs

Good morning.  Tick tock goes the clock and many of us are running out of time to get everything on our list done.  Today begins a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and our hostess is the lovely Miss Kate and she wants to see your makes using the words of a Christmas carol or song.  I have to admit that because of my crazy work schedule among other things I ran out of time to make a new project for this challenge so one of the cards from the card class I took in November before the craziness will have to do as it fits the bill.

Christmas songs play in my house since the middle of September sometimes as I get ready to do craft shows and fairs for the holidays.  I so enjoy the traditional Christmas carols and my favourite is Away in A Manager as I have many fond memories of it from my childhood.  My card uses the stamp set "Heavenly Voices" from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps (which seems to be sold out at the moment as there is no link to it).  All supplies were provided in class.

Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up a make of your own using the line of a Christmas carol or song.

Thanks for dropping by. In the hustle and bustle of this busy season remember to take a moment and reflect on why we celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY.

Wonderful Winter Wishes ~ PDE Linky Party All Cards

Hello there.  Welcome to a new day and a new challenge at

where our theme this week is ALL CARDS.

My card is one I made at a card class I attended a few weeks ago but thought it was just too cute not to share.  It uses the stamp set Beary Big Hugs from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for both of the sentiments and the image.  All the supplies were provided so sources are unknown. :)

Inside:

Can you believe it is only 2 weeks until Christmas???  Have you done all you need to do??? LOL!!! I try to get everything done early as I work in retail and Christmas time is horrible and busy.  Anyhow, have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend and think of me as I deal with cranky people all day long. :)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #371 ~ Santa's Coming to Town!

Good morning (or afternoon or evening...depending on when you are reading this or what time zone you are in) my crafty peeps and others who visit.  Today starts a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and our hostess is Brenda.  Her theme is Santa's Coming to Town and she wants to see the big guy or his elves on your projects.  Perfect for the season I'd say.

My elf comes to you courtesy of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and he is from the set Treat YoursELF.  He is coloured up with my Copic markers and I have added a bit of sparkle with my Wink of Stella Clear to the ornament he is swinging from. Patterned paper is Echo Park I Love Winter.

Why not join us at Little Red Wagon this week and link up a Santa or elf project of your own.  Don't forget to check out the amazing inspiration for the other girlfriends as well.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Birthday Unicorns ~ PDE Linky Party Anything Goes

Hi there.  Glad you could drop by today.  We are at the start of a new ANYTHING GOES WEEK at

The project I have for you today I made for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday this week.  We skyped while she opened it and her present as she lives a few thousand miles from me.  I am glad we can at least do that :)  The card uses the stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie called Unicorns and Rainbows.  They are coloured up with my Copics and placed on a shaker card.  Inside sentiment is what I always tell the kids as we sign off so it means a lot to me.

Inside:

Why not join myself and my other creative design team members and link up at PDE Linky Party this week.

I am going to end today with a picture of the birthday girl.  Happy birthday Katie-boo.  Grandma loves you to the moon and back. xoxo

(taken on my last trip out there in April ~ she has grown so
much even since then)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #369 ~ Sparkle and Shine

Hello.  Did you miss me??? LOL!!! I took a little break from design team commitments last week but am back and ready to get into the swing of things.

Today begins a new challenge at Little Red Wagon with our hostess Brenda.  Her theme for us is Sparkle and Shine. My card uses a stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Bundled Little Snowboy coloured with Copics.  He is paired with glittery paper from My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum, embellished with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and bling from my stash.  I also used Crystal Snow from Stampendous to add extra sparkle to the hat and mittens. Sparkle and shine he does for sure.

Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from all of the other girlfriends and then link up a sparkly make of your own.

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY.

Do You Hear What I Hear ~ PDE Linky Party All Cards

Hello All!!!  Well, if you have been visiting me on a consistent basis, you know tomorrow is THE DAY~ Winterbourne Wonderland Christmas Tea and Marketplace. So excited.  If you are local come visit me there.

So, now that that is out of the way it is Friday and a new challenge at PDE Linky Party.  This week is all about cards and only cards.  A paper crafter's first go to project I believe.

I have two matching cards to share.  They use the set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Angel Voices" coloured with my Copics markers.  Patterned paper is Echo Park Very Merry Christmas from a few years ago.  Aren't they cute singing their carols?  Remember when people actually went around door to door doing this?

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you can join us for All Cards week at PDE Linky Party.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #367 ~ Let's Get Sketchy!

Good morning. It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  I am the hostess for this week and my challenge for you is to follow the sketch posted below.  I enjoy using sketches as a starting point.  You can flip it, add embellishments where I have them (or not) as long as I see the basic sketch in your project.

And here is my take on it:

The image is from a children's colouring page and I have no idea the source.  It is coloured with Copic markers. Patterned paper is Lawn Fawn Christmas plaids.  All embellishments are from my stash.

I hope you can play along.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out all the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up your version of the sketch.  I am looking forward to seeing what y'all create.

Have a great day!!

Holly Jolly Christmas ~ PDE Linky Party Anything Goes

Hello and Happy Friday!! I am so glad that it is Friday and I am looking forward to a bit of time off tomorrow although I do have to work on Sunday.  Inventory is almost done for the show, concentrating on display and set up this week.....only 1 week left to go.  But I digress (as usual).....it is Friday and that means a new challenge at PDE Linky Party.  First week of the month means it is an ANYTHING GOES challenge so that should be an easy one for everyone to participate.

Since my focus as of late has been solely on Christmas, I have a Christmas card to share again this week.  It uses the Holly Jolly wreath and sentiment from Kraftin Kimmie and is coloured with my Copic markers.  Patterned paper is Craft Smith Holiday Basics.  Bling and ribbon from my stash.

And a close up of the wreath:

Thanks for dropping by.  Join us at the PDE Linky Party for our Anything Goes week.  While you are there, check out all the amazing things the other design team members have made as well.

Have a FANTASTIC FRIDAY and a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #366 ~ Happy Fall Y'All!

Hey there.  Time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess this week is Jan and the theme is HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!  Fall is my favourite season but this year it's a little confused....yesterday on the first of November it was 22 degrees Celsius (72 Fahrenheit) which felt more like a late Spring/early Summer day.  It even felt a bit humid.  Where is our crisp, cool sweater weather??  I am sure it will come though. But I digress so let's just look at my card shall we?

Stamp is a retired Kraftin' Kimmie called Pick of the Patch coloured with Copics.  Paper was from my scraps.  Flourish die cut is My Favorite Things.  Pumpkin button from Michaels.

Thanks for coming by.  Make sure you head on over to Little Red Wagon and see all of the lovely creations that the other girlfriends have made.  Link on up a Fall project of your own.  Can't wait to see.

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

Penguin Package ~ PDE Linky Party

Good afternoon.  Time for a new PDE Linky Party and this week our theme is ANYTHING BUT A CARD.  Time to show us those projects such as a scrapbook page, a pocket page, bookmarks, mini albums, etc.  There are so many fun things to do for this challenge.

Today I have a gift bag that I decorated to share.  I am making up a few of these to sell at the upcoming show.  My inventory will consist of cards in two sizes, tags and bags.  And, wonderful news, I am almost finished creating it all.  Only two more weeks. Bag is from the $ store, stamp is Lawn Fawn Snow Cool and all the rest are from my stash.

Glad you could drop by.  Please come back soon. And why not join us at PDE Linky Party with a non-card (is that even a word) project of your own.

Have a FANTASTIC Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #365 ~ Stencil It!

Hello there.  Today marks the beginning of a new challenge at Little Red Wagon this week and our hostess is Kate.  Her challenge is titled STENCIL IT! ~ she want to see the use of stencils on your projects.

I do not own any stencils so I was wondering how I was going to do this challenge.  And I went to my usual spot for inspiration, Pinterest, where I found an idea on how to make your own stencils by using a die cut.  I die cut my snowflakes and used them as the stencil.  When I was finished they looked like this:

which resulted in a card looking like this.  What you can not see in the photo is that I went over each snowflake with my Clear Wink of Stella so this card really sparkles.  The stencil is done on water colour paper with Tim Holtz Broken China distress ink.  Patterned paper and sentiment are Lawn Fawn.  Twine is American Crafts and button is from my stash.

Hope you can join us this week at Little Red Wagon and show us your use of stencils on your projects.  Remember to hop around to all the other girlfriends for inspiration too....and leave us some love so we know you were there :)

Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!!

Oh Deer ~ PDE Linky Party

Good morning.  Anyone who has been anywhere in my universe the past few weeks knows that I am madly scrambling to get inventory for a Christmas craft show ready.  (Note to self: Start much earlier next year.....you may get accepted to the show you thought you wouldn't.  No mad scrambling!) But today is ALL TAG day at PDE Linky Party and that is a help to me.

I have a number of small tags featuring deer to show you. These deer are from sets of Kraftin' Kimmie Shake It Up and Lawn Fawn Cheery Christmas.  Paper is also Lawn Fawn Winter and Christmas Plaids.  Merry Christmas stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels a couple of years ago.  And the sparkles are being used up from my stash.

I know some of you have seen these pictures on my Facebook feed but I wanted to share them here as I am so excited about them and basically, we are now "making it real".

This is my new banner for my table at the craft sale:

and here is my business card:

Thanks for coming by.  Don't forget to head on over to PDE Linky Party with your tags this week.  Check out what the other ladies have done for inspiration.

See you soon.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #364 ~ Let's Party!!

Hello once again.  If these weeks were any shorter, I am not sure if I would accomplish anything.  I hope I can say time flies when you are having fun as I try to get organized for this craft show.  I have 4 more weeks.....and hopefully things will go back to "normal".  What that really means is not stressing about how little I got done in a week for the show.

Well, it is another challenge day at Little Red Wagon and today our fearless leader Jan is in charge.  Her theme is LET'S PARTY ~ now as fun as that sounds she does have a certain kind of party in mind ~ birthday parties.  We want to see your birthday party celebration projects this week.  October in our family is full of birthdays so this was great timing for me.

Stamp used is Stamping Bella Game On and matching paper is from Simple Stores So Rad.  Coloured up with my Copics and the addition of a few matching enamel dots and a masculine birthday card ready to go.
